Osteopathy

Pain is the body trying to tell you something.

Your body is a complicated mechanical puzzle and osteopaths are the puzzle masters that fix it and maintain it in good shape. The human body has the amazing ability to heal itself, but when you are dealing with pain this self-healing mechanism is compromised. We find what part of this system is compromised and then rebalance it.

The key word is movement, every structure in your body has a normal amount of mobility (mechanical movement) and motility (internal flowing movement, like water), when either of these 2 types of motion are compromised, symptoms occur. As osteopaths, we test these motions and restore them to their original state, using both mechanical movements and subtle repositioning techniques, allowing the body to function at 100% efficiency.

Treatment is safe and effective. Osteopathy is a holistic approach to health care upon which manual techniques are based. This means that our intention is always to treat the cause of the pain or discomfort, rather than merely treat the symptoms.

Don’t let pain and discomfort rule your life. Let us help you make life pain-free again.

Indications for seeing an osteopath

Below you'll find a list of some of the reasons why people choose to visit an osteopath. Please not we do not claim to cure some of the most serious conditions, but we do help greatly in managing and alleviating the symptoms. We treat the body as a whole, using our hands to remove limitations of movement so that the self-healing mechanism can work optimally again. As a result, symptoms often disappear.
