Develop, maintain and restore your movement and functional ability

Physiotherapy is a specialised hands-on clinical skills to assess and treat symptoms of illness, injury and disability. It also includes rehabilitation, as well as prevention of injury and promotion of health and fitness.

We can help you to become stronger and more flexible, increase freedom of movement and mobility, breath easier, reduce pain, stay active, prevent injuries… Helping at any stage of life, when movement and function are threatened by ageing, injury, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors. Maximising your quality of life, looking at physical, psychological, emotional and social wellbeing.

The different types of Physiotherapy treatment we offer are:

1. Active session

Here we focus on your mechanics, give you exercises to do at home and make sure we get rid of habits that can contribute to any underlying issues. Our goal is to improve the quality of your movements, avoiding bad postures in the future and give you all the tools to avoid, prevent and alleviate pain and/or discomfort.

2. Therapeutic massage

A hands-on specific massage focused on your symptoms. The idea is to make sure not to go through a routine but work on what is found when massaging. From muscle knots to fascial adhesions, your tissues will be assessed and worked on accordingly.

3. Sports massage

Sports massage is a form of therapy that works on deep tissues, releasing tensions, restrictions and improving mobility.

Conditions that generally respond well to a sports massage as a complementary therapy include:

– Muscle pain and soreness
– Muscle strain
– Muscle tension
– Tendon and ligament sprains
– Repetitive strain injuries
– Tendonitis

4. Pelvic floor

One of the specialities of physiotherapy is the re-education of the pelvic and abdominal area. This speciality is mainly based on treating dysfunctions of the reproductive, urinary and part of the digestive system.

It also helps in the process of pregnancy, in postpartum recovery, in the treatment of episiotomies and perineal tears and in pain during sexual intercourse.

High-impact athletes such as running, tennis, athletics, CrossFit, etc. are also treated.

In order to get the best results in consultation, in our first appointment we carry out an assessment in order to make a physiotherapy diagnosis. With this, we implement a personalised treatment plan to achieve maximum functionality and symptom improvement.

Afterwards, we will have follow-up sessions where we will use a series of techniques and exercises to improve your pelvic floor, such as:

• Specific exercises to strengthen and/or relax the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, and as prevention and recovery in the postpartum period.
• Manual therapy
• Perineal massages
• Stretching and inhibition of the muscles.
